Placing Porcelain Veneers with CEREC®

Veneers are thin, porcelain sheaths that are bonded over damaged, discolored, or crooked teeth to restore symmetry and beauty to your smile. Since they completely cover the natural tooth, veneers mask imperfections while protecting the tooth from further damage. Porcelain is a strong and long-lasting material that is practically indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

We use a CEREC® machine at our Arvada and Denver-area practice to create porcelain veneers that fit well and look great. CEREC® technology eliminates the need for patients to return to our office multiple times. The entire process - from the impressions, to the milling of the restoration, to the placement - takes only one hour per tooth.

Our specially trained dentists will use a special camera to take digital impressions of your teeth and bite. The CEREC® 3D machine uses these images to design a custom veneer. We will choose a shade of porcelain that blends in with your surrounding teeth. The CEREC® machine drills your restoration into the selected piece of porcelain, and the veneer is polished and ready within mere minutes. We will bond the veneers to your teeth in the same visit!

LUMINEERS®

LUMINEERS® are a newer brand of porcelain veneers that instantly enhance teeth and smiles. LUMINEERS® are as thin as a contact lens and nearly translucent. Despite being so thin, LUMINEERS® are made from a patented material that is incredibly strong and durable.

If you decide to have LUMINEERS® placed, you will visit our office to have impressions taken of your existing teeth and bite. We will use these impressions to create your LUMINEERS® of a shape and shade consistent with your surrounding teeth. After they’ve been crafted, you will return to our office in Arvada, near Denver, where we will slip your new LUMINEERS® on and bond them to the surface of your tooth using a strong adhesive. Your new LUMINEERS® will blend in flawlessly with the rest of your smile.

The process for placing LUMINEERS® is less invasive than that of conventional veneers because LUMINEERS® do not require any portion of the natural tooth to be drilled or filed down in preparation. Patients who wear LUMINEERS® experience less tooth sensitivity and trauma. Also, since the natural tooth remains completely intact, the LUMINEERS® placement process is reversible.
